Admission criteria
The following criteria must be met for admission for in-patient
treatment:
- Mainly conscious, at least partly oriented
- Capable of cooperating with at least 30 minutes’ therapy a
day
- No intensive-care monitoring required. Artificial respiration not
required
- No actual risk of self-harm or harm to others
- Pre-existing concurrent illnesses must not preclude mobilisation
Our operational capacity and infrastructure enable us to undertake the rehabilitation of severely disabled patients in terms of early rehabilitation. This means patients who have or require:
- Artificial feeding (e.g. PEG tube)
- Tracheal cannulas
- Infusion therapies
- Intermittent oxygen supply
- Incontinence (e.g. Cystofix, indwelling catheter)
- Bed sores
- Concurrent illnesses
- Orientation problems
