Early rehabilitation measures ensure that the patient can regain the greatest possible independence and can lead an active life again. The coordinated cooperation of a team of specialist doctors, specialist nursing staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and neuropsychologists are decisive for the success of rehabilitation.

An early rehabilitation patient has stable vital functions, does not require invasive respiration, and has no immediately life-threatening complications.

Due to our infrastructure and personnel, we are able to ensure the acute inpatient care of even severe patients. This means patients with:

  • Tracheal Cannulae
  • Infusion Therapies
  • Intermittent Administration of Oxygen
  • Incontinence (e.g. Cystofix, Permanent Catheter)
  • Decubitus Ulcers
  • Accompanying Illnesses
  • Orientation Disorders

The range of early rehabilitation services includes the care of patients with:

  • Multiple Injuries
  • Severe Polyneuropathies
  • Myopathies (Critical Illness)
  • Conditions After Neurosurgical Interventions

Treatment Methods and Main Focuses are:

  •  Possibly electrophysiological methods
  •  Prevention of secondary damage to musculoskeletal system
  •  Initiation of basal perceptual and communication functions
  •  Swallowing and eating

Due to our optimal infrastructure, the Rheinburg Clinic can secure a seamless change from in-patient neurological rehabilitation into follow-up interdisciplinary out-patient rehab.
